Spa At Home: Face Scrubs

Easy to make at home, these facial treatments are an easy (and natural) way to give yourself a healthy glow

The high humidity in Playa may not be so great for our hair, but it does wonders for our skin. While those ‘back home’ complain of dry and dehydrated skin, here in Playa, the saturated air helps the skin retain moisture, which in turn prevents wrinkles and aging. Nevertheless, we still need to maintain adequate turnover of skin cells to enhance a healthy glow and a youthful look. Here are a few at-home exfoliators you can whip up in your kitchen; remember that organic ingredients are always better if you can find them.

Honey and Oatmeal Scrub

Pineapple and Papaya Peel (not for sensitive skin)

Strawberry Scrub

Warning: avoid using sugar or salt scrubs on the face, the rough edges of the granules can cause micro tears in the skin!

If you are unsure of your sensitivity to a mask, test a small amount on your inner elbow and check for a reaction.
